Active Stimuli for AI Interviews

The AI-Moderated Interview experience now supports Active Stimuli, letting researchers bring visual and media-based content directly into an AI-led interview. Researchers can attach images, videos, documents, or other supported content to specific research goals while reviewing their AI-generated or extracted goals, using the Manage Stimuli experience to upload and review this content ahead of time. Once attached, a stimulus becomes part of the interview flow, appearing to the participant exactly when the AI Moderator reaches that corresponding goal.

During the live interview, the stimulus is shown directly within the meeting itself, so participants can view and respond to it while continuing their conversation with the AI Moderator, which uses the active stimulus as context to guide the discussion and explore the participant's reactions. This makes it possible to run concept testing, creative evaluation, product feedback, and other stimulus-based qualitative research directly within Decode, rather than needing a separate tool to show participants something mid-interview.
