Visualize participant navigation during website testing
Decode now introduces Enhanced Journey Mapping for Task Studies, giving researchers a more accurate view of how participants navigate during Live Website Testing. This makes it easier to understand how someone actually progresses through a task, rather than just knowing whether they completed it or not, which in turn makes it easier to analyse navigation paths, spot friction points, and pull out usability insights.
Journey detection has been enhanced to automatically identify meaningful navigation throughout a participant's task, giving a more complete picture of their experience than before. Researchers can now visualise key journey steps during session playback, including page navigation, in-page interactions, and multi-step workflows, with each detected step shown within a journey timeline that makes the sequence of actions and time spent at each stage much clearer to follow.
These improvements bring a more consistent journey mapping experience across different websites and applications, supporting richer behavioural analysis and more reliable usability insights for Live Website and App Testing.
