Highlights & Themes for Video Responses

Decode now lets researchers create highlights directly within the Video Response block on the results page. While reviewing a participant's video response, a researcher can mark specific moments as highlights. Decode then generates a summary of these video responses, along with a set of themes based on the highlights marked.

Each highlight can be played back on its own, right from the results page, so a researcher doesn't need to watch the entire video again just to see that one moment. Video responses often contain more detailed feedback than text responses, since participants tend to explain themselves more fully when speaking. Before this update, finding a specific moment in a video response meant watching the whole video from start to finish, and there was no summary or theme generated from these responses. Now, researchers can mark moments as highlights, get a summary and set of themes built from those highlights, and play back any highlight on its own without watching the full video again.
