Keep one participant consistently labeled throughout
The speaker renaming workflow has been improved to make transcript review and speaker labelling more efficient for researchers working through qualitative studies. Researchers can now rename speaker labels while reviewing a transcript, and this makes it possible to keep a single participant's identity consistent throughout the entire document rather than having it fragment across the conversation.
During transcript review, the same participant can sometimes end up labelled under more than one speaker name, which happens more often in longer or more complex sessions. This update makes it straightforward to correct that and bring everything back under one consistent name for that participant. Doing so cuts down on the manual cleanup researchers previously had to do by hand after a transcript was generated, and it also makes the transcript noticeably easier to read and analyse once speaker identities are properly aligned.
